My work channels the essence of the intangible; that energy which creates the universe. I translate the unseen and condense pure potentiality through the act of observing and painting. It may appear that my paintings explore the relationship between colour, matter and chance but in fact my paintings create themselves and each one deliberately contains information from the universe. I am merely the interface between source and our third dimensional world that enables their creation. In fact, 90% of my paintings are created before I even begin to work but there is no fixed starting point image and the outcome is unknown to me until I emerge at the finish with no or little awareness of how it was achieved. Working through layered washes, textured surfaces and gestural lines, I allow forms to emerge intuitively as movement is guided by the concept. Ultimately, I want the viewer to interpret and respond freely to my paintings as they are merely a mirror that reflects their own vibrational set point.

Sarah Diggins has been creating abstract expressionist artwork since 2002. She exhibited her work in Annecy, France in 2007 and then, as many struggling artists will relate, her artwork had to take a back seat whilst she focused on her marketing consultancy.
Now in 2025 she is giving her full attention to her artwork and is currently studying for a Master's degree at the AUB. She is developing and expanding her artwork repertoire under the direction of two renowned artists, Dominic Shepherd and Sam Jackson, both of whom have well established international reputations in the art world.
Sarah's work is inspired by nature, her experience and observation of the world and through this, she explores themes of perspective, the ego, emotion and states of being. She creates abstract portraits based on the essence of the person and, although her pieces are conceptually complex, she often brings humour and irony into her work.
She creates work based on multiple perspectives and explores how the ego narrows our experience of the world.
Some of her work is available to purchase; private viewings or video sharing can be arranged.
